The Raising Men and Women Lawn Care Service is a unique organization that provides free lawn care to elderly, disabled, veterans, and single mothers. More than just a lawn care service, the organization also uses its work as a way to teach young people valuable life lessons.
The service was founded by Rodney Smith, Jr in 2016 as a way to give back to his community in Huntsville, Alabama. He saw a need for lawn care services among elderly, disabled, veterans, and single mothers, and he decided to start a service that would provide these services for free.
Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service is the union of an ordinary yard maintenance service and the commitment to establish an inspiring program to keep girls & boys on a positive path while learning and understanding their value in society. Raising Men provides free lawn care to our elders, those who are disabled, single mothers and our veterans, who do not have the time, resources and/or money to take care of their yards.
The lawn care service currently has over 3200 kids signed up to mow lawns across the US. 150,000 people from around the world have made donations to support their work. Raising Men Lawn Care Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible.
