Update: The new Mammotion Luba 2 mower models are available in an H variety which offers a cutting height of up to 4 inches.
Robot mowers have really started to come into their own, both with homeowners and in commercial settings.
These mowers can save an incredible amount of time so you can focus on other home and garden tasks. But despite their convenience, they do have their differences from traditional mowers.
Some of these differences can be good. For example, being able to cut your grass more often. Taking a little bit off the top each time can be good for maintaining a healthy lawn. It can also help the grass in dry areas.
But one area where robot mowers can sometimes lack is in situations where homeowners want a higher cutting height. This can be for shady areas, for different seasons, or sometimes just for preference.
Unfortunately, most robot mowers focus on short-cutting heights between .5 inches and 2.5 inches. The reason for this is that robot mowers have primarily been designed for European customers, who tend to prefer shorter grass lengths.
If you’re looking for taller cutting heights, we have some great suggestions below featuring the robot mowers with the highest cutting height adjustment.
Husqvarna
Leave it to legendary equipment maker Husqvarna to come to the rescue when you need a little more cutting height.
Husqvarna makes some of the best robot mowers for home and commercial use. They also happen to have several models that go over 3 inches in cutting height.
Husqvarna Automower 115H
The medium-sized home mower is perfect for lawns under .5 acres. It also has a generous cutting height that goes up to 3.6 inches with a minimum of 2 inches. For its size, that’s pretty good as most comparable models top out around 2.5 inches, although they do go lower.
The Automower 115H uses a guide wire system, but we often recommend this since it works best in most lawn environments. It does take some extra time for the installation, but after that, it works perfectly every time no matter what shape or obstacles your lawn has.
This is also one of the most affordable robot mowers with a cutting height nearing 4 inches.
Husqvarna Automower 550H
This more expensive model from Husqvarna also goes up to 3.6 inches. Several others in the 500 series also have a similar cutting height maximum.
This mower is more expensive but handles lawns up to 1.25 acres and is also up to commercial quality standards.
Worx Landroid WR150
Unfortunately, this model was recently discontinued but you still may be able to find it at certain retailers or possibly on the secondary market. It has a max cutting height of 3.9 inches, which is one of the best for smaller robot mowers.
Another similar model is the WR153. It has the same cutting height but it’s also been discontinued. However, these can sometimes be found as well if you look around, but as time goes by, it will get harder.
Newer models from Worx do go up to 3.5 inches. So while not as good as the discontinued models, it’s still higher than almost all other home robot mowers.
These models from Worx go up to 3.5 inches.

Worx updates its product line often and even has a new line of robot mowers coming soon. So always check the latest specs before ordering as they may change as models are replaced.
Belrobotics Bigmow
These are commercial-quality and built for soccer fields and other large public areas. So the price may be a bit much for the average homeowner.
However, it’s one of the only mowers that goes up to 4 inches.
If you have a large property, the Bigmow may be a good fit. But for standard-sized homes, the cost really doesn’t justify getting that extra small amount of extra height.
Also, these require that Belrobotics do the installation themselves and there’s no DIY option.
It’s a great mower, but mostly for commercial use.
Robomow RK1000-4000
Finally, we have Robomow. A newer mower company but they have 3 models with a cutting height that goes up to 4 inches.
The RK 1000, RK 2000, and RK 4000 all have a max height of 4 inches. The total lawn size for these goes from .25 acres, to .5 acres, and a full acre depending on the model.
These are also priced similarly to other home robot mowers, so you won’t break the bank.

Robot Mower Cutting Height Overview
So there you have the list of the robot mowers with the highest cutting heights. Most of these either have a dial or wheel to adjust the height, but newer mowers can be adjusted via the app or control panel.
It would be nice to see more mowers have higher cutting heights, but the inherent low-profile design makes it difficult.
So for now, the mowers on this list are your best bet for those who want taller grass around their property.
